The Chimera OctaPlus 57 Hi Heat Lightbank is a premium softbox designed for photographers and filmmakers who demand broad, smooth and highly efficient light. Optimized for continuous light, the OctaPlus 57 Hi Heat is compatible with most fixtures supported by Chimera’s extensive range of OctaPlus speed rings. It works especially well with fixtures that feature fully exposed “bug” style bulbs or wide-output designs such as open‑face units, ensuring the entire surface of the lightbank is used to its full potential.
The silver interior provides excellent light efficiency and an even spread across the front surface. The included full inner baffle and front diffusion screen, each with –1.4 stops, allow you to create beautifully soft, uniform light with smooth shadow transitions. The octagonal shape produces a natural, pleasing catchlight in the subject’s eyes.
