The amaran Ray 660c is a 660W full-color COB light designed for demanding home studios and on-location productions. With its integrated power supply in a streamlined monolight body, you only need a single AC cable – less gear to carry, faster setups, and a clean, clutter-free shooting environment in studio or on the road.
Powered by the OmniColor light engine, the Ray 660c delivers a fuller, more balanced spectrum with expanded red and blue ranges. The result is accurate color reproduction, natural skin tones, and clean whites that look true-to-life both to the eye and on camera, achieving SSI scores of 87 (Tungsten) and 80 (D56).
With up to 38,500 lux at 1 m (bare), the Ray 660c is the highest-output amaran COB light to date. It gives you the flexibility to place the light farther away, use larger softboxes, and fill wider frames. The metal Bowens Mount lets you use the included reflector, optional Fresnel lenses, and a wide range of Bowens modifiers for maximum versatility.
For advanced workflows, the Ray 660c can integrate into DMX systems via the optional USB‑C to 5‑Pin DMX In & Out Adapter, making it ideal for podcasts, studios, sets, and music videos with programmed cues and repeatable lighting setups. You can control it on-board or via the amaran app, with instant pairing through built-in NFC even before powering on.
Its IP54 weather-resistant design protects against dust and splashes, making it suitable for real-world conditions such as wind, light rain, sand, or humidity.
