The amaran F21x is a powerful, bi-color flexible LED mat that delivers professional-grade output in an ultra-lightweight 2’x1’ form factor. With 100 W of power and over 3,632 lux at 1 meter (5600K), it outperforms many fixtures in its class and is ideal for filmmakers, videographers, content creators, and photographers.
The wide CCT range from 2,500K to 7,500K lets you fine-tune your white point from warm tungsten to cool daylight. With outstanding color metrics of CRI ≥95 and TLCI ≥98, skin tones look natural and product colors are rendered accurately. Nine built-in lighting FX – including Paparazzi, Lightning, TV, Candle, Fire, Strobe, Explosion, Faulty Bulb, and Pulsing – open up creative options without the need for additional gear.
Attach the included foldable softbox to turn the flexible mat into an ultra-thin soft light source with beautifully diffused output. Two strengths of diffusion and a fabric grid allow for precise beam shaping, minimizing spill and giving you full control over your scene. Stepless dimming from 0–100% and adjustable frequency selection help to eliminate flicker, even when shooting at high frame rates.
The F21x is quick and intuitive to set up. The compact, folding X-Frame stretches the mat into a rigid panel that can be mounted directly on a C-Stand grip head using the Straight Baby Pin, or on any standard light stand via the included Right Angle Baby Pin and tilting stand mount. This flexible mounting system makes it easy to place your light exactly where you need it.
With the Sidus Link app, you can control the F21x wirelessly from your phone or tablet. Adjust brightness, color temperature, and FX remotely, and take advantage of Sidus-exclusive tools like Source Match, Color Picker, and Custom FX within the Aputure/amaran ecosystem. For advanced setups, the F21x also supports DMX control via an optional USB-C to 5-Pin DMX512 In & Out adapter cable.
Featuring an integrated 3 m head cable and an additional 3 m extension, the panel can be positioned up to 6 m away from the compact control box. The optimized LED and heat dissipation design delivers a high-output punch while keeping the mat weight down to just 0.39 kg.
The control box includes a multi-voltage V-Mount battery plate compatible with 14.4 V, 26 V, and 28.8 V batteries. Full output is available when using the 48 V 3-Pin XLR DC input with the included AC power supply. A dedicated battery plate bracket ensures a clean, user-friendly rig on your stand. Packed in the soft carrying case, the F21x becomes a portable lighting solution you can take to any location.
An optional F21 lantern modifier lets you create volumetric lantern or pancake-style soft light with excellent spill control – perfect for ambient room lighting and wraparound key or fill.
