The VELVETLight KOSMOS 400 Bi-Color is a compact 400W LED fresnel with a built-in ballast, designed for demanding film, TV, and studio environments. Its high‑performance VELVET LED engine delivers outstanding output and natural skin tones, with TLCI values of 93 at 3200K and 95 at 5600K.
Color temperature is continuously adjustable from 2700K to 6500K in 100K steps, complemented by precise Green/Magenta correction from full plusgreen to full minusgreen – perfect for matching other fixtures or ambient light. Smooth 0–100% dimming remains flicker-free up to 12,000 fps, making KOSMOS ready for high-speed shooting.
The motorized fresnel zoom lets you shift the beam angle from 13° spot to 56° flood on the fly, locally or remotely, without touching the fixture. The true borosilicate glass fresnel lens (300 mm) creates a classic fresnel shadow and a beautifully even field, combining a strong, punchy beam with the signature soft VELVET look for cinematic images.
With DMX-RDM control and optional LumenRadio wireless, you get full remote access to beam angle, color temperature, green/magenta, effects, and presets – fully production-ready for modern rigs. Four smart cooling modes (FAN OFF, SILENT, FULL SPEED, DYNAMIC) plus a passive liquid cooling system in a sealed 3D chamber and a silent fan keep the LEDs at ideal temperature, ensuring long-term reliability and a 50,000 h (L70) LED lifetime.
The housing is made from lightweight, low-carbon recycled aluminum, robustly built, IP30-rated, and 100% made in Europe – a true “made to last” workhorse for professional lighting crews.
