The Caligri Airtube Switch Essential Kit is your flexible solution for beautifully soft, precisely controlled light on set. As the next evolution of the proven Airtube Classic, the Switch series introduces fully interchangeable diffusions: from the well-known Magic Cloth® to TRP Lite Grid Cloth, Quarter Grid Cloth or even custom fabrics – allowing you to fine-tune light character to any shooting scenario.
The Airtube Switch increases the effective light-emitting area of your LED tubes and, once inflated, creates a homogeneous, soft light source. You keep all features of your LED tubes: battery operation, full color control, effects and pixel control remain fully available. Multiple shorter tubes can be mounted in line inside one long Airtube, making it perfect for ultra-long, seamless reflections in product films or high-end photography.
With the 2-in-1 function (for Airtube SWITCH 100 and 120/4ft when used with the additional Harness), the Switch turns into a Softtube for LED COB spots: simply remove the side cap of the inflated Airtube Switch, attach it via the Airtube Switch Harness to a small Fresnel modifier (e.g. Aputure Fresnel 2X) – and you get soft yet directional light with a larger aperture for cinematic setups.
Additional mounting options for accessories such as skirts, spill light covers and eggcrates give you maximum control over spill and light falloff. For ultimate reliability, Caligri relies on proven, film-grade materials, including Magic Cloth® by TRP Worldwide. All Airtubes are manufactured in Germany and built to withstand the demands of everyday professional production.
Essential Kit Note:
The Essential Kit comes without skirts, without spill light cover and includes only the pre-installed Magic Cloth diffusion. All missing accessories and additional diffusions can be purchased separately.
